Health Issues
With out this system you would die. You would not be able to get rid of (liquid) waste, it would stay in your body and poison you. Kidney stones is a bad problem for your kidneys. There are lots of other problems too. Each one is not pleasant. Also it is not good for you to hold your urine (pee) to long.

christian, you won't necessarily die without one kidney. But without both of them you could. What would happen if you couldn't go to the bathroom at all, even if you tried( a.k.a. being constipated)? I like how you put a picture of a toilet on the blog!
